He earned the first-ever Ph.D. in Healthcare Innovation from Arizona State University and has led innovation efforts across multi-billion-dollar companies, academia, and early-stage start-ups.

Dan has also created innovation programs, including the Masters in Healthcare Innovation (MHI) at The Ohio State University, leadership and interprofessional practice at the Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine, and has consulted for dozens of healthcare programs on the topics of leadership and innovation in healthcare.
